Kama Hotel Medan

It was a very nice hotel right in downtown Medan…. If that’s what you’re looking for. It had a very good breakfast with an Indonesian cuisine. It also had a restaurant with good food. Corn soup was delicious!

The mattresses were VERY firm.

Frontliners were ridiculous and customer service is bad they did not even care to help me when i asked help to book a grab under cash. They have also charged me with additional fees for towels and essential needs as soap and shampoo. Please do look into your staffs and services. Very bad won't come again

Very near to amenities with shopping malls, markets, groceries, restaurants all within walking distance.

The road was very busy and noisy at night

The staff are very kind and fast respon. The food is delicious enough

I hope the 6th floor has a lift sooner

the room is clean and spacious. the staff is nice and helpful. the food is delicious. i like everything in here. very recommended for anyone who want to stay while exploring medan.

The pillow were rock hard, pretty much unusable from my point of view.

Stayed 4 nights. I had a room with no windows, which I really did not like. The staff was not helpful at checking in - could not pay by contactless so they did not accept 60 percent of cache I had (price for 2 nights) - so that I check in and bring money later. I had to go like 15 min walk to exchange money and 15min come back only to give them as they said = full sum at the check in. They can't do contactless (with my phone) - and I don't carry physical cards. Anyway coming back - had to wait another 20 min there was no room ready. The fabulous breakfast is not so fabulous. Stayed at Cordela - their breakfast is better. Other than that it was ok. Location is good.

The staff were friendly and welcoming. They upgraded me to a larger room, which was spotlessly clean and smelled fresh. The breakfast included with the reservation, which varied daily, was fantastic. The location couldn't be better, with all the tourist attractions in the city and the train station within walking distance. This hotel offered unbeatable value for money. Check-out time was a bit later and free luggage storage after check-out was also readily available.

My room was not facing the road but even so, I could still hear noise from the traffic on occasion.

Room was very clean, staff were friendly, hotel lobby is small and attached with its small cafe but acceptable. Only setback was rooms facing the main road were not very conducive because of noise pollution at night. Other than that, all was fine.

The location of hotel is in the middle of city and nearby to few of city's attractions.The room is comfortable and cosy

The room was clean and bright. The location was good on a street with some cafes and restaurants, even tho everytime you leave the hotel you feel you're going to get robbed or attacked since Medan is not a safe city. There are hundreds of homeless people or drug addicts roaming the streets all day and night.

The beds were quite hard. The worst thing was the walls are so thin that the family next door with young children were intolerably loud and we could barely sleep since their kids were screaming in the hallway and running around all night. We asked to move but the hotel was full.

The room was clean and the location for us was good. The coffee in the coffee shop was good.

The room had no window this was not mentioned in the room description. The bed was so hard it was like sleeping on the floor. You could hear everything through the walls from other rooms.

My second time staying at Kama. First one wasn’t that great due to some hiccup. But this time all are perfect. Even we got the smoking room at level 6 which required a little climb over a staircase. The room done pretty well and clean. No smoking smell which is great.

No nearby convinient shop. But not a big deal, just would be even better if there is one nearby.

Location is good. Pretty modern hotel. Busy and they serve breakfast if ordered with the room. Has an ATM inside hotel. we returned back for the last day. European sockets.

But the streets are loud, some guests too and you can hear alot inside the hotel hallways.

Location was easy to find from train station - also very good to explore from . Good bar/ restaurant where there is good wifi so you can work if needed.

On a busy road so you either have a room which is noisy or a windowless room like a cell.
